The combination of Visual Analytics and Machine Learning is particularly powerful in professional sports. Fans have a hunger for KPIs and at-a-glance dashboards; along with a deeper understanding of underlying context and strategic considerations. Managers care about players' growth, team dynamics and competitive scenarios.
