Doug Ernst
Quicksteps Base Ball Club of Minnesota Manager
Doug Ernst is a retired History Instructor who also writes shorts stories, often with a baseball theme. He is also a historic interpreter who works at The Landing, a living history site, and concentrates on life between 1845 and 1889. He is Secretary of the Vintage Base Ball Association national board and for the past two years has edited that organization's national newsletter. Most recently he served as a liaison to an organizing body to establish two 1860 Rules Base Ball teams to Branson, Missouri. He trained players and worked with community leaders to establish a Base Ball festival in Branson. Ernst also does presentations to school groups, community organizations, and city and county Historical Societies. He also Manages the Quicksteps Base Ball Club, playing by the Rules of 1860 and does their scheduling.
