Rodney Paul is currently Professor of Sport Management at the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics at Syracuse University. He designed the new Sport Analytics major at Syracuse and serves as the program’s director. Rodney was awarded his PhD in Applied Economics from Clemson University in 2000. He is the author of over 100 academic articles and book chapters on various elements of the Economics and Finance of Sports including work in market efficiency of gambling markets, uncertainty of outcome, competitive balance, attendance modeling, television rating modeling, dynamic pricing, and the role of weather conditions on player performance. He has consulted for various teams and leagues in professional sports mainly on attendance and revenue forecasting.
